It´s place of wooden mountains and a Kings history , reason wich many people in Tepoztlan (about 20 minutes near), preffers the calm of the town that it´s considerated sacred. When You turn around and look up, You can observe the window in the hill, call as this for the hole similar to a squared window naturally designed. In this place, that many considerate magnetic, was born about three thousand Years Cé Acatl Topiltzin, better known as Quetzalcóatl. An hour travelling from Amatlan, down valleys and climbing hills, itsá a place where many history tellers agree was the place where Quetzalcoatl was given the name of Cé Acatl Topiltzin Quetzalcóatl. This character has marked thru this days the route of this town.
Localizatión:
Tepoztlán it's placed at the north of the state, limits at the north with Mexico City capital, at the south with the towns of Yautepec and Jiutepec, at East with Tlalnepantla and Tlayacapan and to the West with Cuernavaca and Huitzilac. The aproximated distance to the State capital it´s about 18 km; and Amatlán it´s about 20 minutes from Tepoztlán.
How to come :
This little town has a easy acces thru the Tepoztlán highway, You only have to follow the signs in the road.

It presents semihot, humid and moderate, subhumid climates.

Holy Magdalena day, she´s the mistress of the town, it´s more than a religious party, the doors of every house are open to invite anyone to eat, the tipical pipián, mole, chicken, rice and of course the always delicious beans; all with a spectacular taste and acoompanied with the hand maded tortillas, done at the moment.
